In the late 90s, banjoist Rev Jeff Mosier formed the progressive “hic-hop” bluegrass band,
Blueground Undergrass. Electric banjo, drums, and pedal steel added a unique sound to traditional bluegrass and set them apart from other newgrass jam bands of that time. Reuniting for Suwannee Spring Reunion, BGUG appeals to fans from hippies to cloggers, hipsters to rockers – traversing to the brink of almost moshpit energy, yet guiding each show with song-driven clarity along the way.
